Life is a test. We are not present on earth to just exist; we are here to learn. Life is a lesson. Love one another unconditionally. Love thyself unconditionally. We spend our whole lives learning to do this. Some succeed and some never have a clue. I'm trying. Love my fellow man. Don't react and don't always have to be right. This is one I'll have to work on for the rest of my life. Appreciate each day and recognize positive and negative as a part of life's experiences. Look around me and see life at it's best. The joys of living come as you strive to achieve your dreams. Its the quality of each day that is important, not the distant dream once achieved. Teach and nurture my children. You can never give them too much love. -Randa Jex 1/1/94

Memorial Day 2012

Happy Memorial Day to all the men and woman who have served and are currently serving our country here and abroad.  Today we honored my brother, Captain Cory Ross, for his unwavering dedication to the United States Marine Corps.  He has made huge sacrifices to serve our country and we think about him every day.  Please continue to pray for him and all the other active duty service men and women.

We made Red, White, and Blue {berry} pancakes for Cory, too bad he couldn't make it to breakfast.  Austin enjoyed having his first taste of real- fresh from the farm- blueberries (thanks Matt!)

Okay the word enjoyed is an underestimate, he loved them.  Here is the play-by-play.  Showing me is plate is empty, hands up in the air screaming for more and then so happy to see more berries coming his way.  What a little ham!

Photodump from the weekend including chilling at the lake with Daddy and Uncle Kel, taking baths to break the fever, messy bed head and his new way of taking his bottle like a big boy standing up.
