Life is a test. We are not present on earth to just exist; we are here to learn. Life is a lesson. Love one another unconditionally. Love thyself unconditionally. We spend our whole lives learning to do this. Some succeed and some never have a clue. I'm trying. Love my fellow man. Don't react and don't always have to be right. This is one I'll have to work on for the rest of my life. Appreciate each day and recognize positive and negative as a part of life's experiences. Look around me and see life at it's best. The joys of living come as you strive to achieve your dreams. Its the quality of each day that is important, not the distant dream once achieved. Teach and nurture my children. You can never give them too much love. -Randa Jex 1/1/94

JANUARY 10, 2011.... A Special Gift

I have to share with you the sweetest gift. From July-October I lived in Jackson on the weekdays working at my old stomping ground, our headquarters. I was there filling in for a co-worker Kimberly while she was on maternity leave. Before she left I spent 2 weeks there training for her position and we became really close and ever since I found out I was expecting she is calling to check up on me all the time and she has been a wealth of new-mommy knowledge as well. Right before Christmas she gave me the sweetest gift. It is a round silver charm engraved with 11-07-10...the date we found out we were expecting. She said this necklace is to remind me of the day our lives changed forever. Of course this was a tear jerker when I opened it. I think this is the most unique idea. The other charm is a tiny little hand print. Mom and Dad gave it to me for Christmas and it is the size of a baby's hand at 12 weeks...that is how far along I was at Christmas. I wear this necklace everyday and I just love the meaning....our lives won't just change in July, our lives changed forever the day we found out we had be blessed with this child!

That is the most wonderful story I have heard in a long time. What a sweet and thoughtful gift and of course you are the perfect recipient---equally sweet and thoughtful as the giver. You and Zach will be such incredible parents--in fact, you already are.

So sweet. I love reading through your thoughts on everything, it takes me back to all of the special moments I felt during pregnancy. I am so glad you are soaking up every moment. Each should be treasured and it seems like both of you are doing a great job of that! Have you seen those necklaces where you can get your baby's thumb print on a charm? It would go perfect with your sweet collection you are building. I'm saving my pennies for one for B!

Glad you're feeling better! Blessings to all of you.
