Life is a test. We are not present on earth to just exist; we are here to learn. Life is a lesson. Love one another unconditionally. Love thyself unconditionally. We spend our whole lives learning to do this. Some succeed and some never have a clue. I'm trying. Love my fellow man. Don't react and don't always have to be right. This is one I'll have to work on for the rest of my life. Appreciate each day and recognize positive and negative as a part of life's experiences. Look around me and see life at it's best. The joys of living come as you strive to achieve your dreams. Its the quality of each day that is important, not the distant dream once achieved. Teach and nurture my children. LASIC = GOODIES!!


Well we just got home from the doctor for our 1 day post-op check up. Things are healing great and he is actually seeing 20/15 in one eye and 20/10 in the other. He said the healing process of the gutter (where the cut around the eye is) was better than normal and in Dr. Smith's exact words "Zach you look better than the average bear". We go back on Thursday but Zach is cleared for driving, TV, and most importantly the internet!

I wanted to note the perks of Lasik:
1. Pre-op breakfast at the Donut Shop
2. The doctor lets you hold a big stuffed frog during the operation to calm nerves and give you something to hold on to.
3. You get to have Pizza fed to you in bed! Yummmm.
4. Homemade cheesecake brownies
5. Pig Out for Dinner

So just for all you chickens out there (me included) Lasik is not such a scary thing after all!

Zach--remember these perks when I go under the lazer!
