Life is a test. We are not present on earth to just exist; we are here to learn. Life is a lesson. Love one another unconditionally. Love thyself unconditionally. We spend our whole lives learning to do this. Some succeed and some never have a clue. I'm trying. Love my fellow man. Don't react and don't always have to be right. This is one I'll have to work on for the rest of my life. Appreciate each day and recognize positive and negative as a part of life's experiences. Look around me and see life at it's best. The joys of living come as you strive to achieve your dreams. Its the quality of each day that is important, not the distant dream once achieved. Teach and nurture my children. You can never give them too much love. -Randa Jex 1/1/94

Hotty Toddy!

Austin got to experience the grove for the 2nd time and boy did he love it.  Not only did he skip his nap but he sayed up until 11pm partying. Normal bedtime is 8pm so this was a huge change in the schedule but he did great and was so happy! The town was busting at the seams and the houses on Lamar looked more beautiful than ever.  I swear everyone got together and planned to have every light in the house on, yards perfectly manicured and adorable southern families sipping sweet tea or Makers Mark on the front porch swing.  Oxford is picturesque in the fall!  Friday night a bunch of people got together at Camille's house (Jarrod's overly hospitable mom) and we made ourselves sick on Gumbo, Chicken-minis and dessert! Saturday we had a great day in the grove and got to see a lot of old faces we hadn't seen in years.  We woke up early Sunday to beat the crowds to Big Bad Breakfast and make the trek home.  We just love that town but Z and I decided we like it more without all the people because we didn't get to hit up Ajax and Two Stick like normal and that is just plain depressing.
The HORNS arrived in true Texas Fashion
Daddy and Austin people watching in the grove
What Austin did ALL DAY LONG.  EAT!  I guess when you are in the Grove that's what you do but I was worried about the amount of food this guy was putting back.
Me and Aunt Eldy at the Phi Mu house with our future Phi Mu and KA.

Franny Bean and A- Man played so well!

Pretending to nap in the wagon....never happened

Austin's "new" smile

Totally exhausted but just won't let those eyes close.  Too many cute girls to  watch.

Great sign Phi Mu!

Our walk to the car...still totally fascinated with people watching.
