Life is a test. We are not present on earth to just exist; we are here to learn. Life is a lesson. Love one another unconditionally. Love thyself unconditionally. We spend our whole lives learning to do this. Some succeed and some never have a clue. I'm trying. Love my fellow man. Don't react and don't always have to be right. This is one I'll have to work on for the rest of my life. Appreciate each day and recognize positive and negative as a part of life's experiences. Look around me and see life at it's best. The joys of living come as you strive to achieve your dreams. Its the quality of each day that is important, not the distant dream once achieved. Teach and nurture my children. You can never give them too much love. -Randa Jex 1/1/94

A Tea for Madeline

I am just now getting the opportunity to blog about my beautiful Natchez baby shower for Madeline.  Back in March, Lee Carby, Katie Grace Edgin, and my sister-in-law Becky hosted the most gorgeous shower at the Edgin's home, Rip Rap.  Every detail was perfect from the tiny little baby booties on the petit fours to the pink china to the vintage baby rattles.  It was breathtaking when I walked into the house.  They planned an afternoon tea fit for a princess! Here are some of my favorite pictures from that day, of course courtesy of my super talented SIL Becky Jex (rebeccajexphotography.com)

Baby Bootie Petit Fours, adorable and so yummy!

Grammy bought Maddy a "Party dress"
Renee got me a monogrammed hospital gown and I actually wore it during labor and my first pictures with Madeline Elizabeth are in this gown.  What a great gift!

My sweet mother, "Grammy".  I couldn't do this without her, she is my angel.
My sweet friends Amy, Jessica, KG, and Laura
Sweet Hostesses-- Becky, Katie Grace, and Lee.  Pardon my swollen face, I was mere weeks away from going into labor.
Stunning
